The State of Illinois' public access laws include the Freedom of Information Act and the Open Meetings Act.
Request for Public Records
In accordance with the public policy of the State of Illinois, which ensures that all individuals have access to comprehensive information about government affairs, the Hanover Park Park District is committed to transparency in its operations.
Submitting a Public Records Request
To request the inspection or copying of public records, please submit a written request to the Hanover Park Park District. Requests can be made via:
• Personal delivery
• Fax
• Other available communication methods
While written requests are preferred, oral requests for inspection or copying may also be honored. The District does not require a specific form or request purpose, except in cases where the request is for commercial purposes or a fee waiver is being requested.
All requests will be promptly forwarded to the designated FOIA officer for processing.
