If you're looking for a flexible and easy-to-use way to ensure your child is taken care of, no matter the occasion - look no further! The Daily Pass has got it all covered. With days available that can be used at any time throughout the school year, this program provides an unbeatable solution. Just make sure to get in quickly as some passes might go fast depending on capacity numbers!

Get ready for a day packed with fun and adventure! School's out, so come join us on exciting field trips or stay around to participate in engaging games and activities. Children of grades K-8 are invited - even if they're not enrolled in the Before & After School Club. A lunch and water bottle are required though, so make sure you pack one before joining the festivities. And don't forget: Camp Sunrise starts at 6:15 a.m.!

Hanover Park Park District Before and After School Club

How to Register:

Registration must be completed at the Park District office or by phone-in. A parent handbook will be given out before the program start date. Included in the handbook is an Emergency Release Form. This form must be completed and turned in on the first day of BASC.

How to Pay:

Tuition is based on the total number of days school is actually in session per year. Fees are divided into 9 equal payments for the school year and will not be lower for those months that have fewer attendance days due to holidays (i.e. winter and spring break)

A $15 non-district fee will be charged at the time of registration when applicable.

Hanover Park Park District is committed to thoroughly preparing kids for Kindergarten! We provide a secure and nurturing atmosphere, where children can learn crucial skills like motor development, independence-building, and listening comprehension - all while having fun exploring numbers and letters. Our students are empowered through self-expression activities that help them grow in confidence as they discover the world of colors & shapes!

 

Enrollment Information

1. Review class information. Decide upon a class that fits your schedule best and your child’s age. (There is limited enrollment in these programs.)

  • Little Learners is for children who are 3 years old as of August 30, 2024.

  • Pre-Kindergarten is for children who are 4 years old as of August 30, 2024.

 

2.  Register in person at the Community Center.

What you’ll need:

  • First month’s Tuition 

  • Child’s birth certificate 

  • Non-district will be charged an additional $15 at the time of registration when applicable.

 

3. Upon completing registration you will receive:

  • Parent Manual 

  • Information Sheet concerning billing 

  • Emergency information form to be completed by the parent and given to the child's teacher on the first day of school

 

4. All children must be toilet independent 

  • Pull-ups are not acceptable for Little Learners and Pre-Kindergarten. Please refer to the Totally 2’s & 3’s regarding pull-ups.

This program is designed to provide your child with their first introduction to the preschool setting. Our qualified, caring, and nurturing staff will help ease each child’s separation from their parents. This class aims to emphasize socialization and learning through the use of play. Your toddler will experience music, storytime, arts and crafts and so many other fun activities. This program is an excellent stepping stone into our Little Learners program.

Totally 2s & 3s Information:

Parents may stay on the first day of class to help ease their child into separation. This is not a parent/tot program and parents will be asked to stop attending after the first class.

 

Pull-ups are acceptable, but our teachers are not able to change any child. Children should be in the process of learning how to be toilet-independent while attending this program. Parents must be available to return to the program to change their child’s pull-up or in case of a bathroom accident.

 

Pre-kindergarten

Make the smart choice to get your little one ready for kindergarten! Our curriculum is based on the Illinois Early Learning Standards. Students will learn about colors, size, shapes, numbers, reading readiness as well as how to follow directions and time. All while developing social-emotional and listening skills. Teachers will explore the alphabet, addresses, phone numbers, and how to write their names. Classes are designed to prepare children who enter kindergarten in the fall of 2025. A graduation celebration will be held at the end of the school year. Parents are encouraged to help 1-2 times a month in the preschool programs. Information may change due to CDC guidelines. Graduation for all Pre-K classes will take place on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025.

**In the event of low enrollment, it may be necessary to combine all Pre-K classes.

Trunk or Treat | October 20, 2023

Get dressed in your favorite costumes and come down to Hanover Park Park District for some trick-or-treating. Local organizations, businesses, and families will decorate their cars with spooky decorations for Halloween and provide candy and fun for all ages. To add to the excitement, there will be a chance to enter a Halloween costume contest where you could win a mystery prize basket! Kona Ice food truck will also be available to purchase some yummy treats.

Through collaborative rehearsals and team-based activities, participants will forge new friendships and enhance their ability to work effectively as a team! Let the guitar awaken the world of music for your child! Get his journey started in our exciting and popular guitar program. Bring your guitar and learn from a performing professional guitar instructor! Fun songs to learn and a great atmosphere! Classes are being offered in conjunction with A & A Music Academy 1975 E. Private Drum Lessons

For children and adults, beginners and experienced drummers! During private half-hour lessons on a professional drum set, you'll learn Jazz, Rock, Blues, Funk, and Latin Funk drum techniques. Instructor Verne Duddles creates a comfortable, safe, and inspiring atmosphere to maximize each student's progress. Safety guidelines will be followed throughout the lesson, such as wearing masks, maintaining a 6-ft distance, and sanitizing equipment through each use.

 

Please bring a set of drumsticks to class (price is $6-$12), available at any music store. Recommended drumsticks: Size 7A for children and 5A for adults.

Guidelines to Follow:

 

1. Participants should wear face coverings over their nose and mouth. (exceptions can be made for people with medical conditions or disabilities that prevent them from safely wearing a face covering).

 

2. Lessons will allow for 6-ft. of social distancing between participants and instructor.

 

3. Please wash your hands before and after the program. 

 

4. Before allowing entrance or before class, staff will ask whether participants are currently exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. If a participant does have symptoms, they should not enter the premises. Please contact us for a refund due to illness. 

5. Equipment will not be shared between participants unless from the same household.

6. Classes do not add new participants once the session has started.

 

7. Parents and guardians are not allowed to enter the board room, this way we can maintain social distancing.

 

8. Under no circumstance will the instructor allow contact between participants.

Fall  Inter-Village Soccer Leagues

The Inter Village league will provide an environment for players of all levels. Teams are offered at the following levels: U8 (1st/2nd grade), U10 (3rd/4th grade), U12 (5th/6th grade) and U14 (7th/8th grade). Teams will compete against teams from other areas of park districts. Practice days and times are determined by the volunteer coach. The games are on Saturdays. Players should register based on their grades for the 2023/2024 school year. Each player receives a team jersey, shorts, and socks. Shin guards are required. Soccer cleats are recommended.

Gymnastics Men’s and Women’s teams.  Gymkhana’s professional staff is composed of U.S.A. Gymnastics safety certified coaches. Court Reservations & Cancellations

Members may reserve court time up to seven days in advance. Cancellation of court time must be made at least 24 hours in advance of play. Members are responsible for court fees if for any reason they wish to cancel in less than 24 hours and the court cannot be sold.  Members who make reservations and fail to show up are responsible for the cost of the court and are charged accordingly.

Monthly Play Pass

If playing a lot of tennis is high on your priority list you can’t go wrong by purchasing a Play Pass. Reservations may be made up to 48 hours in advance, initially for one-and-a-half hours of tennis. If the court is available at the end of that time, just keep playing until you drop!

Non-play pass holders must pay their portion of the court time fees.  A valid CCAC membership is required to purchase a play pass.
