Are you ready for a role full of magic, mystery, and unexpected twists? Into the Woods Jr. is casting talented young performers for a thrilling musical adventure where nothing is quite what it seems. From enchanted forests to daring quests, this show is packed with action, unforgettable songs, and powerful lessons about choices, dreams, and consequences.

Rehearsals: Mondays from 6 pm - 8:30 pm, Thursdays from 6 pm - 8:30 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am - 2 pm

 

Auditions:

Auditions will be on April 4th from 5 - 9 PM 

Callbacks April 5th  from 1:30 pm - 5 pm

What you’ll need for Auditions:

2 contrasting songs - 1 minute each

1 Minute of a COMEDIC monologue

Showstoppers - "All I Really Need to Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play"

This summer, join us for a fun and unique theater experience with All I Really Need to Know I Learned by Being in a Bad Play! In this comedic and heartwarming production, actors will be involved in every step of putting the play together—from auditions and rehearsals to the final performance.

 

Along the way, participants will not only hone their acting skills but also develop valuable life skills, such as teamwork, communication, creativity, and confidence. Theater is a great way to improve public speaking, problem-solving, and adaptability—skills that benefit both on and off the stage.

 

Come be part of something unforgettable and discover the joy of making theater together, in our first ever play at the Hanover Park Park District.

Sheet Music Basics Workshop | Register Online

This beginner-friendly workshop introduces participants to the very basics of deciphering and understanding sheet music. Topics covered include note names, rhythms, dynamics, and basic sight-singing techniques. You will also learn how to cut a song for a 8 bar, 16 bar and 32 bar audition. This workshop is for singers and actors who want to feel more confident working with sheet music in rehearsals, and learn practical skills to enhance their performances.

Beginning lessons are given in conjunction with A & A Music & Art Academy in our new facility at 1975 E Devon Ave. Hanover Park, IL 60133.  Each class is designed to teach basic music reading skills, chords, strumming techniques, plus much more and all with fun songs you’ll love! Great for those soon to come summer sing-a-longs!  Class size is limited to 2 students, but if the class is full, please sign up on the waiting list.  We will make additional classes. Beginning Drum Lessons

Drum your way out of winter into our spring lessons with our fabulous professional drummer!  It won’t take long to learn the basics and you’ll be out looking to start up the band! Bring 5A sticks or buy them the first day of class.  Classes teach the basic rudiments, percussion style notation, drum set basics, various musical styles, plus much more. You’ll be playing in no time and find the musician you’ve always wanted to be. Beginning lessons are given in conjunction with A & A Music & Art Academy at 1975 E Devon Ave. Hanover Park, IL 60133 in our new facility  Class size is limited to 2 students, but if the class is full, please sign up on the waiting list.  We will make additional classes to get everyone that signs up into a class.
